Because each piece is handmade there will always be some slight differences in size, colour and weight but in essence each piece of a particular product will be similar.

About the maker:

Wyn is a Sculptor, Ceramic Artist and Author, her work is inspired and influenced by our Ancestors, Ancient Cultures from around the world and from nature around her.  Story-weaving ancestral imagery into clay, Wyn aims to keep alive the stories and lives of the past.  Having won awards for her work, Wyn now sells worldwide.

Wyn Abbot Ceramics was established in the stunning Lune Valley in the grounds of an ancient castle in the north of England in 2005 by Wyn and her husband Colin, later joined by Alex in 2009, (and she has now left us to join the Army as a Captain in the Legal Services Division) In fact the studio is set into the walls of the Grade II listed walled garden.

Everything made in the studio is fired to stoneware. no moulds are used at any point in the entire process nor do we use slip casting, each piece is completely handmade and as such unique in its own right. Because each piece is handmade there will always be some slight differences in size, colour and weight but in essence each piece of a particular product will be similar. Because each piece is fired to stoneware they are where appropriate dishwasher safe and also good to go outside in normal circumstances. All the glazes that we use are food safe. Each piece will carry the makers mark.
