Terms of Sale, Refund
& Returns Policy

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with Authentic Self you are agreeing to the terms set out below.

Terms of Sale

  • All goods supplied are as specified by the customer at time of purchase.
  • PLEASE NOTE: All holiday orders for Christmas/Yule must be placed before the 10th of December to guarantee delivery before the 23rd of December (within the UK only).
  • Warranties are specific to the original purchaser and are not transferable.
  • Some products returned under warranty may be forwarded to the relevant supplier/manufacturer.
  • Warranty does not cover misuse, neglect, wear and tear or consumable items.
  • Carriage charges to or from our return centre must be borne by the customer. All original shipping & postage costs will not be included in any refund payment as they are not covered within the refund policy.
  • Items returned for credit must be shipped post paid, complete, with all documentation and in original packaging within 30 days of receipt or will incur a re-stocking fee. Goods must be accompanied by a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
  • Authentic Self reserve the right to refuse any parcels returned for credit/repair that are received with inadequate packaging. Returned goods that are damaged or incomplete will not be credited.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self will not be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.
  • Account customers are bound to our settlement terms of 30 days from invoice date. Authenticrystals/Authentic Self may levy a surcharge if these credit terms are exceeded and the credit facility may be withdrawn.
  • Title of goods remain with Authenticrystals/Authentic Self until paid for in full.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self endeavour to meet delivery dates but will not be held liable for financial loss should supply delays occur.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self reserve the right to alter any technical specifications or prices on this website without prior notice. International orders (outside of the UK) will incur shipping charges relevant to the size, location and service of courier used.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self will not be held liable for any import tax duties applied to overseas deliveries. These must be paid by the purchaser.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self hold no responsibility for fragrances, perfumes or other aromas that may be on items from the transfer of goods from suppliers or that may have incurred during storage and transit.
  • Each handmade ceramic work from Raven Studio or Wyn Abbot is unique and could be slightly different from the images, which adds to the magic of each one. Some imperfections may be visible due to the hand-making process, and some glaze may have moved or slipped during the finishing process — this is all part of each unique and magical piece.
  • Any shortages or damages must be reported to Authenticrystals/Authentic Self within 48 hours of receiving your goods. Authenticrystals/Authentic Self will not be responsible for shortages or damages reported after this time.
  • Authenticrystals/Authentic Self cannot be held responsible for any international, third party couriers and any such delays incurred. Most international orders take 10–14 business days to arrive.
  • Additional shipping costs may be added to cover packaging and handling. If you require approximate costs of shipping please email before placing an order.
  • Shipping can take from 7 to 10 business days (within the UK) from date of order. We are not held responsible for delays due to postal strikes or other situations outside of our control.
  • Shipping dates are Tuesday to Thursday.
  • Any orders made Friday, Saturday or Sunday will not be processed until the following week (except UK bank holidays).
  • Any orders made after 3pm will not be processed until the next working business day.
  • Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service is our standard postage for all UK orders.

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can't offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the unopened original packaging.

All original shipping, postage and packaging costs will not be included in any refund payment — they are not covered within the refund policy. Packaging costs on items will not be refunded and average approximately £4.00 per item boxed.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned, such as perishable goods, customised pieces and certain sale items. Gift cards are also non-returnable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase and the reason for the return. We will then provide you with your unique Returns Authorisation (RA) number.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer or return goods to Authenticrystals without obtaining an RA number first. Unwanted items are to be returned at the cost of the customer — we do not offer a free return service.

Partial Refunds

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Books or tarot cards with obvious signs of use
  • Packaging or products that have obviously been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Restocking fees apply at £4.00 per item GBP
  • Packaging costs on items will not be refunded (approximately £4.00 per item boxed)

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain number of days. Note: only the item's original price will be refunded — not the postage, packaging or shipping costs.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account — this can take up to 30 days. Then contact your credit card company, followed by your bank. If you have done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at enquiries@authentic-self.co.uk.

Sale Items

Some sale items cannot be refunded, such as perishable goods and customised pieces. Some may only be issued with a partial refund if a restocking fee applies.

Discount Codes

A minimum spend applies to discount code orders. Codes cannot be used on any sale items, are only valid for a certain time and date, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Our Fair Usage Policy for sale items ensures that all customers have equal access to discounted products. We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased per customer to prevent bulk buying for resale. Customers who violate this policy may have their orders cancelled and accounts restricted.

Event Tickets and Services

Refunds on tickets and service bookings for all services including Sound and Colour Events will incur a transaction fee of £4.00 GBP and must be requested 48 hours before any event or service is booked for. (Cost covers admin, restocking fees and bank charges.)

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, send us an email at enquiries@authentic-self.co.uk to obtain your Returns Authorisation (RA) number.

Packaging costs on items will not be refunded and average approximately £4.00 per item boxed.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves first, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be informed of your return.

Shipping Returns

To return your product, email us at enquiries@authentic-self.co.uk to obtain your unique Returns Authorisation (RA) number. Please do not ship items directly back to us without first obtaining your unique RA number.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. All original shipping, postage and packaging costs will not be included in any refund payment as they are not covered within the refund policy.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping and packaging will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

Packaging costs on items will not be refunded and average approximately £4.00 per item boxed.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Event Information
& Services

By purchasing a ticket for an in-person treatment at one of our events, you are hereby giving your consent to receive a sound bath, healing, Reiki or talking therapy and you acknowledge and agree that you are doing so at your own risk. Your health and safety with respect to such services are your sole responsibility.

In exchange for receiving services, and on behalf of your heirs, executors, administrators and personal representatives, you hereby waive, release, discharge and hold the therapist — Christopher Michael Armstrong, working under the company name of Authentic Self/Authenticrystals, and sometimes under the names Kit/Michael — harmless from any and all liability for any and all injuries, including damages or claims relating to or resulting from receipt of the services, now or in the future, foreseen or unforeseen.

If you experience pain or discomfort during the session, you will immediately inform your healer. You will not hold the healer responsible for any pain or discomfort experienced before, during or after the session. You fully understand that the services offered are not a substitute for medical care. You understand that your therapist is not qualified to carry out a medical examination or provide a diagnosis, and you agree not to interpret their comments as medical advice.

You affirm that you have notified the therapist of all known medical conditions and injuries, and agree to inform the therapist of any changes to your health. By purchasing a ticket online you are declaring that you have read and fully understood this release and hereby waive and release the therapist from any and all liability, past, present and future, relating to this treatment.

Personal Development & Mentoring Services

Some services offered by Authentic Self may include mentoring, spiritual guidance, personal development sessions, or reflective discussion. These services are intended to support self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth.

Any discussions relating to personal projects, wellbeing practices, or holistic businesses are provided as general guidance only and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, investment, or professional business advice. Clients remain fully responsible for the decisions and actions they take following any mentoring session or guidance.

Scope of Practice

Authentic Self offers holistic wellbeing sessions designed to support personal reflection, spiritual exploration, relaxation, and personal development. Services may include sound therapy, meditation guidance, spiritual mentoring, and reflective discussions that encourage greater self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth.

These sessions are supportive and educational in nature and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace medical, psychological, legal, or financial services. Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, and wellbeing throughout and following any session.

Discount Voucher Terms

The following terms apply to discount codes for 1-2-1 treatments:

  • Discount code is valid for one person only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or voucher codes, unless otherwise stated
  • Discount is only valid once and cannot be used by the same person more than once
  • Code cannot be transferred to anyone else or given as a gift
  • The named person upon booking must be the person the voucher is used for
  • This discount can be withdrawn at any time without notice or if misused
  • Voucher cannot be exchanged for any other goods or service and has no cash or alternative payment value
  • Voucher cannot be used for group events or sound baths for more than one person
  • Discount voucher must be applied on booking the 1-2-1 treatment before the appointment is made

Vouchers cannot be used on the day of the appointment — they must be redeemed at the time of booking.

Appointments & Attendance

Late Arrival

It is recommended to arrive 5–10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment for any necessary paperwork, discussion or settling in. If you arrive late we will do our best to accommodate you within the remaining time, however you will still be charged at full price for the session. Event doors will close at the start time and all ticket holders are asked to be within the room 5–10 minutes prior to the scheduled start.

No Show / Cancellation

If you do not show up for your appointment or event you will still be charged at full cost for the session or event missed. In the event you need to cancel your appointment, 48 hours notice must be given prior to your session or event.

Refunds on tickets and service bookings for all services including Sound and Colour Events will incur a transaction fee of £4.00 GBP and must be requested 48 hours before the event or service. You may however transfer your ticket to the next event date free of charge if places are available and 48 hours notice has been given.

Severe Weather Conditions

In the event that severe weather or poor driving conditions make it difficult for you to attend your session or event, we will work with you to reschedule your appointment or ticket for the next available date.

Health Considerations

Please make us aware of any of the following before attending your session or event:

  • Are you currently pregnant?
  • Do you have a pacemaker?
  • Do you have any metal in your body?
  • Are you sensitive to fragrances or essential oils?
  • Do you have any allergies?
  • Do you have any medical conditions?
  • Are you taking any medications or supplements?

Please make us aware of anything — however large or small — that could affect your session or event experience.

By not making us aware and by purchasing a ticket online, you are declaring that you have read and fully understood this release, and hereby waive and release the therapist from any and all liability, past, present and future, relating to this treatment.

Important Notice

The services offered through Authentic Self are intended to support personal development, spiritual exploration, and wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate professional advice where required. Any guidance offered during sessions is intended for reflection and personal growth, and clients remain responsible for the decisions and actions they choose to take following any session.
