Hecate Plaque (Hacate)

£26.50 inc. VAT

This Hecate Plaque is glazed with a golden brown, a black star and the Hecate symbol on top of the star.

Hecate was the chief goddess presiding over magic and spells.

She witnessed the abduction of Demeter’s daughter Persephone to the underworld and, torch in hand, assisted in the search for her. Thus, pillars called Hecataea stood at crossroads and doorways, perhaps to keep away evil spirits.

The plaque has been fired to stoneware so is robust in nature and has green felt on the base to protect any surface you may use it on.

It is approximately 15cms in diameter.
