Sometimes we don't need another conversation, task or technique to practise.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! We simply need permission to stop.
Reiki offers a quiet one-to-one space where you can settle, step away from everyday demands and receive the session without needing to make anything happen.
You don't need to be particularly spiritual.
You don't need to understand energy work.
And you don't need to believe anything you're uncomfortable believing.
You can simply come as you are.
Reiki is a Japanese energy practice traditionally based around the idea of universal life-force energy.
During a session, the practitioner uses gentle hands-on or hands-off positions while the client remains fully clothed.
People understand and experience Reiki in different ways.
For some, its energetic or spiritual understanding is an important part of the practice.
Others simply experience the session as a quiet period of rest, attention and stillness.
You don't have to decide exactly what you believe about Reiki before experiencing it.
There's no correct Reiki experience.
You might notice warmth.
You might notice physical sensations.
You might feel deeply relaxed.
You might notice thoughts or emotions.
You might notice very little at all.
None of those responses means you've done it correctly or incorrectly.
I won't tell you what you're supposed to have felt.
The session is yours.
Your experience doesn't need somebody else to turn it into a story for you.
Before we begin, I'll explain how I work and you can let me know what you're comfortable with.
If hands-on Reiki is being used, consent matters.
You can ask for hands-off work.
You can change your mind.
And you don't have to justify your preference.
A wellbeing session should never require you to ignore your own boundaries.
No.
Reiki has a spiritual and energetic tradition, and I'm comfortable exploring that side of the practice with people who want to.
But you don't need to share my beliefs.
You may understand Reiki spiritually.
You may be curious but uncertain.
Or you may simply value having quiet, intentional time to rest.
There's room for all three.
Reiki remains available as a standalone session.
It's also one of the practices I may draw upon within my wider Wayfinder work when it genuinely suits the person I'm working with.
It isn't automatically added to a Wayfinder session.
Some people benefit more from conversation.
Some from reflection.
Some from sound.
Some from quiet.
Person first.Tool second.
Discover The Wayfinder PathYou are welcome to bring your own understanding.
There is no correct experience.
Your experience belongs to you.
